Hoosier Ball Mission
The Hoosier Ball began in 2017 as a way to bring friends, family, and the philanthropic community together to spotlight the important contributions of the Lyon Family Foundation, along with its longtime partner, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and to celebrate the legacy of founder Robert H. Lyon.
Robert, who lost his battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in 2007, was passionate about giving back to his community. The annual event honors all the things he loved—family, friends, giving back, and a good party!
The Hoosier Ball is the foundation's signature fundraiser and allows the organization to provide additional support to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s important mission. It is our hope that raising funds and awareness for blood cancer treatments will provide a brighter outcome for future patients.
The Hoosier Ball Sock Hop will take guests on a nostalgic trip back to the 1950s. Whip out your saddle shoes and get ready to rock around the clock! Attendees can bop to the sounds of Ken Arlen’s Front of House Band and Victoria Noyes, savor retro food and beverages, enjoy a live auction, and delight in many more surprises.
